New company values campaign

Commissioned artwork for a Villeroy & Boch internal marketing campaign showcasing and promoting their new company values.
Overview
What better way to expose and communicate your company values than through the creation of an inspiring event with artwork? That’s exactly what Villeroy & Boch asked me to do. They chose a few artists to illustrate their values with complete creative freedom, which resulted in some very interesting and creative results.
My assignment was to illustrate the company values of “Progress” and “Responsibility,” for which I created two distinct concepts and illustrative approaches.
Progress
For the value of “Progress,” I created a concept that depicts employees as being aboard a spacecraft heading to the stars. Originally, the employees were to construct the spacecraft themselves. Throughout the process, it evolved into an over-the-top, humorous representation, with the characters rushing towards the spaceship, taking some of the company’s product portfolio with them.
Responsibility
For the company value of “Responsibility”, I’ve developed a concept around the motto “Take Control”. For this approach, I decided to create a dynamic typographic composition so that this claim could serve as a Call to Action and inspire employees to be bold and daring.
The initial sketches were made with a handwritten typographic style in mind. Later, the design evolved into a more colourful and elegant one, which was joined by the company’s product portfolio.
Conclusion
It was a pleasure to work with Villeroy & Boch’s marketing team to create fun and engaging artwork for internal communications. I’d like to thank Esmat Christine Lehnert and Ella Blasius for the commission, as well as for their friendly communication and assistance.
